Inman Aligner

Free initial consultation for the Inman Aligner

Over time, teeth tend to move, especially the front ones. Some people even find that after years of orthodontic treatment as a child the teeth are on the move again or are still in the wrong position. Most think that extensive work needs to be undertaken to get their teeth straightened and get back that great smile.

The Inman Aligner is a new, simple and relatively quick way of straightening teeth for adults. It has now become the treatment of choice for crooked front teeth and we are one of the UK's leading Inman Aligner clinics.

Previously, if you wanted to have your front teeth straightened, you only a couple of choices:

  • Braces (either metal or clear) - these took between 1 and 2 YEARS and cost between £2500 - £6000.
  • Porcelain veneers - it only took 1 month but involved grinding down the teeth and cost between £3500 - £15000.

The Inman Aligner, however, changes everything. Teeth can be straightened in as little as 6 weeks with no drilling and costs between £1000 - £3000 depending on the complexity. Another great advantage is that the Inman aligner is also removable and it is ok to take your aligner out for photos, special occasions and eating.

How Does It Work

The Inman Aligner utilizes a lingual coil spring that puts pressure on the teeth that need repositioning and a labial bar that reverses the same pressure.

These components work together to "squeeze" teeth together by pushing and pulling them into alignment.

Length of treatment

Inman Aligner treatment typically takes 6-16 weeks. Simple cases can complete in a little over 1 month and more complex cases might take 4 months or so. We can give you a realistic guide of what to expect during your consultation. Normally lower front teeth move a little faster than uppers. However, because the Inman Aligner is so highly efficient, when a case is suitable, it works much faster than alternative orthodontics techniques. This is what makes it so revolutionary and moves the Inman Aligner into the realms of cutting edge Cosmetic Dentistry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Inman Aligner suitable for everyone?

No, it only works if certain conditions are met. We offer a free consultation to see if it will be suitable.

Is the Inman Aligner new?

Patients have been treated with Inman Aligners since 2000. In the United States approximately 450 to 500 new patients are prescribed treatment with Inman Aligners every month. It has only become available in the UK recently.

Is the Inman Aligner comparable to Invisalign?

Invisalign uses clear plastic to move teeth whereas the Inman Aligner uses Nickel Titanium springs. This is why the treatment time is greatly reduced. The Inman aligner, however, cannot move back teeth whereas Invisalign can.

Will treatment with the Inman Aligner be uncomfortable?

Like any orthodontic appliance, the Aligner can feel a little uncomfortable for the first few days. After this most patients will become used to their Aligner and have no problems wearing it.

Will the Inman Aligner affect my speech?

Your speech will be affected for the first few days but it will get better!. You will however acclimate to the appliances over time and be able to speak fine with them in place.

Will I need to see the dentist frequently for adjustments?

The Inman Aligners are pre-programmed to reduce the need for office visits. Your doctor will prescribe a treatment due to your needs.
