Clear aligners teeth straightening in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire

Free initial consultation for Invisalign

What is invisalign?

The Invisalign system is an innovative way to straighten your teeth using custom made, clear aligners. The system consists of virtually invisible aligners that gradually and comfortably guide your teeth into the correct position.

What does treatment involve?

To begin your treatment, we will take impressions and measurements of your teeth to ensure suitability. Once your suitability has been confirmed, we will receive your personalised Clincheck – your 3D treatment plan custom made for you. This unique plan enables us to show you in advance how your teeth will look during and after treatment. If you are happy, we will approve the plan and fit your aligners at the following appointment. Many of our treatments take as little as 14 weeks to complete so you will be able to enjoy straight teeth in no time at all.

The main advantages of invisible braces over conventional braces are:

  • Comfort - there are no metal wires or bands to irritate your mouth.
  • Discrete - the aligners are virtually invisible to anyone unless they get very close, so hardly anyone will even notice that you are having treatment.
  • Convenience - you remove the aligners to eat, to clean your teeth and for special occasions.

Our smile gallery shows treatments that we have carried out in our practice to improve peoples smiles.

Invisalign FAQ’s

How much does it cost?

The cost starts from £1575 and is dependent on how crooked your teeth are to begin with.

Is Invisalign suitable for everyone?

No, it only works if certain conditions are met. We offer a free consultation to see if you will be suitable.

Will treatment with Invisalign be uncomfortable?

Like any orthodontic appliance, the aligners can feel a little uncomfortable for the first few days. After this most patients will become used to them. In fact, Invisalign is probably the most comfortable type of orthodontic treatment.

Will Invisalign affect my speech?

The vast majority of patients report no effect on speech, however there will always be a short adjustment period of a couple of days with anything new in the mouth.

Will I need to see the dentist frequently for adjustments?

Each aligner is worn for 1-2 weeks, your adjustment time will be decided by us but most people need an appointment every 2-4 weeks.

Once Invisalign treatment is complete is a retainer necessary?

Wearing a retainer after any orthodontic treatment is an important step, because it will keep your teeth in their new position. In many cases your last aligner will be your temporary retainer, until your retainer is made.
